Head of School Search

As the RCA Board of Directors continue to walk forward in faith and seek the Lord’s vision for the school, we are excited to announce that the search for our inaugural Head of School has begun.

Please be in prayer for the Search Committee and Advisory Committee as they prayerfully consider who the Lord has prepared to be the first leader of our school.

Pauline Clark

Pauline Clark has a grandnephew and two grandnieces attending RCA, and strongly supports the Classical education they are receiving. She has had a long career in finance with numerous banks including Citibank and Goldman Sachs in New York City, and in bond underwriting as a Senior Director with Fitch Inc. Most recently her career has led her into healthcare finance as a hospital CFO and Executive Director of a safety net independent provider organization.

Matt Fletcher

Matt Fletcher has served as Senior Pastor at Webster Bible Church since 2011. Prior to that, Matt pastored churches in Virginia, Nova Scotia, and Massachusetts. Matt has pastored for more than thirty years; seventeen of those years at churches with a Christian School ministry. Matt is a graduate of Washington Bible College (B.A., 1990), Briercrest Biblical Seminary (M.Min., 1999), and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., 2014). Throughout his life, Matt has greatly benefitted from, and is therefore strongly committed to, high-quality education with a biblical worldview. He has been married to Ruthie for 31 years, and the Lord has blessed them with five children and three grandchildren.

Becky Mancini

Becky Mancini, grateful for her own opportunities to attend academically-rigorous Christian schools during both high school and college years, is a former educator in Christian worldview environments (as a certified classroom teacher, co-op instructor, and home educator grades K-12) and currently a mentor to young parents. She also served as co-founder (with her husband, Chuck) and director of The Training Ground Home Education Enrichment Center, in Bushnell’s Basin, from 2003-2015. RCA shares so many of the Mancinis’ educational & family values as well as Christian convictions; they agree, with enthusiasm, that RCA’s mission is a much-needed endeavor in the Rochester community and wish to support its success and leadership.

Chuck Mancini

Chuck Mancini recently retired from 35 years in the business world, where he most recently served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for Tronox Holdings plc, a NYSE-listed global mining and chemical company with 6,500 employees in operations on six continents. When he was 7 years old, his family moved to Bogotá, Colombia, where he had the privilege to attend a leading international private school from 1st through 12th grade, and which shaped his understanding of the importance of education rigor.  That, in turn, developed Chuck’s enthusiasm for home education, which his wife Becky took the lead on for their two sons because of his extensive business travel (including while they lived in the UK for two years), and then co-founding The Training Ground Home Education Enrichment Center, in Bushnell’s Basin, from 2003-2015.  Because he is deeply concerned about the steady decline in U.S. educational standards and expectations, and because he believes the best education is integrated with an intellectually-coherent Christian worldview, Chuck is encouraged by and supportive of RCA’s mission and vision.

Laura Truesdell

Laura Truesdell is a local educator who has been teaching upper elementary students since 2005. Laura is a Rochester native and received her master’s degree as a Literacy Specialist from Nazareth College. When she is not helping students reach their potential in the classroom, she enjoys gardening and traveling with her family. She and her husband, Eric, have three boys attending RCA in PreK, 1st, and 3rd grade.

Craig Rosenbeck

Craig Rosenbeck has deep experience in academic library and information technology and consortia. Craig has developed expert-level experience in Information Technology both working for many years in the field and through academic development. Craig is a Systems Librarian at Roberts Wesleyan College. He holds a Master of Information Science from the University of North Texas, a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Toledo. His reading interests include the Bible, information technology books and journals, as well as theological books and journals. He and his wife Sara have been married for several years and have one daughter (Phoebe, Kindergartener at RCA) and a family dog (Buster). He is passionate about being involved in the local church. A Liverpool FC fan, he has celebrated their Championship season with gusto and looks forward to a future filled with the promise of great performances.

Eric Walter

Eric Walter is among our Founding Families at RCA. He currently serves as Pastoral Intern at Grace Church PCA directing both adult and youth discipleship. From 2012-13 he taught at Veritas Hall, a classical Christian K-12 school in Southern California. Eric Walter is completing a Masters of Arts in Classical and Christian Studies at Knox Theological Seminary.

Katie Ruth

Katie Ruth has a BA in A English and a MS in Literacy Education. She was a founding board member and served on the launch board until accepting the position as our first full-time teacher. Her previous experience includes positions at Brighton Central School District and The Aquinas Institute. Her youngest child is in kindergarten at RCA, and her older two are at St. John Bosco Schools in fifth and seventh grade.
